The selected candidate will join the HEP group at University of Cantabria, and the PHINDER project with the goal of collaborating in the development of detailed particle physics simulations concerning the project applications and with emphasis on the proton tomography use case, and the posterior validation and benchmarking of the project applications.

The selected candidate will join the HEP group at University of Oviedo, and the PHINDER project with the goal of designing and optimising surrogate models and spiking neural models to be implemented in neuromorphic hardware manufactured by the consortium and co-designing said hardware.

The PIs of the consortium, affiliated researchers, and personnel hired so far will meet in Brussels for a kickoff in-person meeting

The Sixth MODE Workshop on Differentiable Programming will take place at OAC (Kolymbari, Crete) on Sept 1–7, 2026.
