Tommaso Dorigo is a First Researcher at INFN in Padova, working in particle physics, statistical inference, data analysis and machine learning. He founded the MODE Collaboration, which develops machine-learning-based approaches to the co-design and optimisation of scientific experiments.
He is PHINDER’s scientific co-lead and leads WP1. His experience in detector physics and end-to-end optimisation connects the project’s photonic neuromorphic technology with scientific measurement needs, including fast and informative readout for particle detectors.
