Particle detectors, precision timing and tomography for scientific and medical applications.
Pablo Martínez Ruiz del Árbol is Professor at the University of Cantabria and a researcher at the Instituto de Física de Cantabria (IFCA, CSIC–UC). His work spans experimental particle physics, detector development and tomography, including research in the CMS experiment and precision timing for particle detection.
He leads PHINDER’s WP5 on applications. The IFCA team connects optical neuromorphic detector development with application studies, including proton tomography for proton therapy and high-energy physics. His experience in detector simulation, reconstruction and imaging helps relate the project’s sensing capabilities to practical validation and use cases.
