Machine learning, quantum phase transitions and data-driven modelling of complex physical systems.
Mohamad Ali Marashli is a postdoctoral researcher in Machine Learning at Luleå University of Technology, within the Embedded Intelligent Systems LAB. He completed his PhD at City University of Hong Kong in 2025, studying machine-learning and similarity-based approaches for identifying phase transitions in one-dimensional quantum many-body systems.
His research includes fidelity mapping and unsupervised autoencoders that learn compact representations of quantum states and identify phase transitions with limited prior knowledge. In PHINDER, this experience supports the development of data-driven models and learning methods for neuromorphic sensing and information processing.
