Irene Fagnani is a doctoral student in neuromorphic computing at Luleå University of Technology, supervised by Fredrik Sandin. She develops and trains neural-network models for photonic hardware, addressing differences between ideal models and physical devices, including device variability and ageing. She holds degrees in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
